URGOnight works mostly on the second stage of our sleep cycle: light slow wave sleep, during which we are asleep but still sensitive to external stimuli. In order to detach ourselves from these stimuli, our brain produces sleep-related brainwaves. These brainwaves disengage us from our environment (noise, light, temperature in the room etc.) and helps us proceed further into deeper sleep (such as Stage 3 in our sleep cycle).

Sometimes, the brain does not produce enough of these sleep-related brainwaves, causing us to have difficulties to fall asleep, nighttime awakenings, or feeling of tiredness during the day. With the help of Neurofeedback, it is possible today to train our brain to produce more of these sleep-related waves, in order to achieve restful sleep.
